If there’s one thing you can count on in your business, it’s that it will evolve. No business model lasts forever. And especially as a solopreneur, sometimes you’ve got to shake things up.

Today, I’m very pleased to announce my new business: Copykin Editing Co. Rather than copywriting, I’m now offering copy editing services to business owners and copywriters who want to make their copy as persuasive as possible.

Why the change?

Over the past few months, I’ve posted about finding your why, creating a meaningful business, and what to do when you realize you’re building the wrong business. I tend to write about what I’m personally exploring, and these topics have certainly been sitting heavy on the brain.

The truth is, in spite of the amazing clients I’ve worked with (and I don’t say that lightly—you guys are kicking ass), copywriting isn’t my true love. After doing a few editing projects, I’ve found I enjoy the editing process much more than the writing process. And I’m good at it. That’s important.

In short, this is my way to continue serving business owners like you with the best of my abilities.

But that’s not all. Over the past few months, I’ve realized that I have a larger goal of helping more people. To do that, I need to transition to a business model that will allow me to grow beyond myself.

My goal for Copykin is to expand into a small team of world-class editors, focused 100% on marketing content and copy. This will allow us to work with more people and have a broader impact on their businesses and lives.

There will be struggles. There will be victories (I mean, there had BETTER be). And I’ll be sharing it all here, with you.
