Words aren’t just words.
Have you ever come across a website that seems like it was made just for you? Not only does the company offer a product that you want, but they seem to get you. They speak your language. They keep you entertained.
That’s the power of amazing copy.
Words are magic wands. With the right words, you can turn a boring page into a sales machine. And you can turn casual browsers into die-hard, go-to-every-show-and-buy-all-the-merch fans.
But for most people, writing is a chore. Finding something to throw into the blank text box of death sounds just about as fun as diving into ice water. Or licking a cactus. Or skipping your morning coffee.
So that’s why I’m here.
Everyone has their thing. For me, it’s writing. I live and breathe this stuff so that you can focus on what matters to you.
Your business is unique, and your website should reflect that. I’ll help you show your customers why you’re worth their time. Together, we’ll create heart-stopping headers, about pages, product descriptions, and sales copy. Heck, maybe we’ll even make some blog articles and white papers if we’re feeling really crazy.
How It Works
In our first call, it’s all about the get-to-know you lovey-dovey stuff. Are we a good fit? You’ll share what your copywriting needs are and I’ll give you a ballpark estimate.
Some clients aren’t sure yet what exactly they need. If that’s the case, I’ll suggest a paid roadmapping session to nail down the details.
Once we have the specifics hammered out, I’ll follow up with a firm quote so you know exactly what you’ll get and how much you’ll pay for it. I’ll also send over a contract and invoice for 50% down.
The writing process begins with a healthy dose of research to make sure the final product is accurate and informed. I may ask you for any existing style guidelines, analytics, or wireframes to supplement. From there, I’ll outline the content so everything ties back to your customer’s motivators and your business goals. Finally, I’ll write a first draft. The first draft is not a document in process, but rather a finished product that I believe is good enough to publish (though that will be up to you to decide!).
After you’ve had a chance to review the first draft, we’ll hop on a call so you can give me your honest feedback (it’s okay–I can take it). I’ll make any edits necessary and send you the revised version. Because of the effort in the first draft, it rarely takes more than one round of edits. When you’re satisfied, I’ll invoice your for the remaining 50% and release the final documents.
The moment of truth. You hit the big red button. The crowd goes wild.
Once the pages are up and the data starts pouring in, we’ll see what’s bringing home the bacon and what can still be pushed to further glory. I can provide variants for A/B testing to keep pushing your website to impeccable performance.
